SYSTANE® ULTRA PRESERVATIVE-FREE EYE DROPS FAQs
Both the Systane Ultra Preservative-Free multi-dose bottle and single-use vials contain the same preservative-free formula. The only difference is that the single-use vials are more convenient for keeping in multiple locations, but must be discarded after each use.
SYSTANE® ULTRA Preservative-Free does not contain preservatives.
After opening the vial of our Preservative-Free product, the risk of product contamination increases.
We strive to meet the needs of all our consumers. To accommodate those who may miss their eye when applying the medication, we include a bit of extra product in each vial. This ensures that there is sufficient medication available, even if some cannot be fully withdrawn.
The vial is designed for one-time use only, so there is no need to replace it after opening. The vial should be discarded after each use, eliminating the need to put the cap back on.
Each vial should be thrown away after one use. Normal disposal is fine.
Drug Facts
Instill 1 or 2 drops in the affected eye(s) as needed.
For the temporary relief of burning and irritation due to dryness of the eye.

Inactive Ingredients
Aminomethylpropanol, boric acid, hydroxypropyl guar, potassium chloride, purified water, sodium chloride, sorbitol. May contain hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide to adjust pH.
For external use only.
Do not use if this product changes color or if you are sensitive to any ingredient in this product.
When using this product, do not touch tip of container to any surface to avoid contamination and replace cap after each use (multi-dose bottle only).
Stop use and ask a doctor if you experience any of the following:
- eye pain
- changes in vision
- continued redness or irritation of the eye
- condition worsens or persists longer than 72 hours
Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
Store at room temperature.
For ocular use only.
If solution changes color or becomes cloudy, do not use.
To avoid contamination, never touch the dropper tip of the container to any surface.
Replace cap after using.
Stop using and consult your eye care professional if you experience:
- Persistent eye discomfort,
- Vision changes,
- Excessive tearing,
- Redness of the eye
Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help.
