Systane® HYDRATION Preservative-Free FAQs
Both the Systane® HYDRATION Preservative-Free multi-dose bottle and single-use vials contain the same preservative-free formula. The only difference is that the single-use vials are more convenient for keeping in multiple locations, but must be discarded after each use.
Systane® HYDRATION Preservative-Free lubricant eye drop is a preservative-free formulation, suitable for frequent users and available in a multi-dose bottle with the PureFlow® technology. Systane® HYDRATION is a preserved formulation, which contains a very small quantity of the preservative (POLYQUAD® 0.001%).
Yes, Systane® HYDRATION Preservative-Free lubricant eye drops can be used with soft contact lenses. It is not a rewetting drop.
The blue tip on the Systane® HYDRATION Preservative-Free is not to be removed. The PureFlow Multi-Dose Preservative-Free technology prevents backflow and allows for sterile air return. Squeezing the bottle creates pressure and collapses a spring to allow the product to flow. Release of that pressure closes the valve and prevents backflow. The patented technology in the bottle does not let contamination back into the bottle.

The first drop is to be dispensed and discarded before first using the product after opening only. This allows for proper flow of the product after opening.
Systane® HYDRATION Preservative-Free 10 mL bottle can be used for 3 months after opening, as long as the product has not expired. Always check the label for the expiration date. Uni-dose containers are single use only and should be discarded immediately after use.

Polyethylene Glycol 400 0.4%, propylene glycol 0.3%, aminomethylpropanol, boric acid, hydroxypropyl guar, potassium chloride, purified water, sodium borate, sodium chloride, sodium hyaluronate, sorbitol. May contain hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide to adjust pH.
For ocular use only.
If solution changes colour, do not use.
To avoid contamination, never touch the dropper tip of the container to any surface.
Replace cap after using.
