Systane® BALANCE FAQs
Yes. Systane® BALANCE contains an emulsion of mineral oil and phospholipids that gives Systane® BALANCE its milky white appearance. Shake before use.
Systane® BALANCE lubricant eye drops cannot be used while wearing contact lenses but can be used before wearing contact lenses and/or after removing contact lenses.
Systane® BALANCE 10 mL bottle can be used for 6 months after opening, as long as the product has not expired. Always check the label for the expiration date.
No, Systane® BALANCE is not preservative free, it contains a very small quantity of the preservative (POLYQUAD® 0.001%).
Ingredients & Safety
A sterile white emulsion containing propylene glycol, hydroxypropyl guar, mineral oil, dimyristoyl phosphatidylglycerol, polyoxyl 40 stearate, sorbitan tristearate, boric acid, sorbitol, edetate disodium, POLYQUAD® (polyquaternium-1) 0.001% preservative and purified water. May contain hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide to adjust pH.
